According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 78 people, 34 households, and 24 families residing in the city. The population density was 102.3 people per square mile (39.7/km²). There were 32 housing units at an average density of 44.8 per square mile (17.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.

There were 32 households out of which 15.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.8% were married couples living together, 3.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 21.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.67.

In the city the population was spread out with 13.7% under the age of 18, 4.1% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 26.0% from 45 to 64, and 30.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females, there are 87.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.9 males.

Government

The town's government is based on the mayor-council system. Roy Williamson is the mayor, while Shelly Tearney is the City Clerk. Council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
